Byron Bull

Indigenous Outreach Worker

Helping Spirit Lodge Society

Oki, my name is Byron Bull, I am from the Niitsítapi (Blackfoot Confederacy), and I am an Indigenous Outreach Worker here at Helping Spirit Lodge Society (HSLS).  Born and raised in the lower mainland, I’ve experienced firsthand some of the challenges and barriers that many families and individuals face on a day-to-day basis in the Greater Vancouver area.

For the past 20 years I have been living in Southern Alberta during which time I was able to reconnect with my ancestral roots and cultural heritage as well as gain knowledge of the traditional ways and practices that many Indigenous communities still utilize today.

With over 15 years experience working in various sectors including Hospitality and Security Services, it has been my lifelong goal and dream to return home and serve the very communities that hold a close and special place in my heart and helped shape me into the person I am today.

As a member of the tremendous team here at Helping Spirit Lodge Society, it is my great honour and privilege to provide support services through a traditional and holistic approach. It is my goal to promote and provide advocacy, equality and assist those navigating through hardship and everyday obstacles, as well as meet the diverse needs of the community and environment that we call home.
